Established in 1989, Badger’s Brook Wines is located along the scenic Maroondah Highway in the heart of Victoria’s Yarra Valley, and has been part of the region’s winemaking heritage ever since.

The vineyard was first planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, laying the foundation for what would become a celebrated cool-climate wine producer. The lean, well-drained soils of the Yarra Valley encourage low yields and concentrated flavours — ideal conditions for crafting premium, expressive wines.

By 1994–95, the estate expanded its plantings to include a range of alternative varietals such as Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, and Tempranillo — available exclusively at our cellar door.

Badger’s Brook is a proudly local Australian business, deeply rooted in the Yarra Valley community. We are committed to establishing an ethical and sustainable business model by supporting local wildlife and contributing to the well-being of our region. We are also dedicated to creating a welcoming environment that all members of the family — across all ages — can enjoy.

Our core business vision is to bring the elegance of good food and wine into everyday lifestyle — blending the pleasures of quality dining with the beauty of shared experiences.

Our winemaking philosophy centres on balance and purity: preserving acidity, freshness, and moderate alcohol while showcasing the true character of Yarra Valley fruit. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, then gently destemmed (or left whole) and transferred by gravity into small open fermenters.

Fermentations proceed with wild yeasts and minimal intervention. Many of our wines are made with no additions apart from a small amount of sulphur dioxide, resulting in wines of elegance, integrity, and authenticity.
